In visual creation, background composition serves as an active narrator and a powerful visual guidance system. Through its structure, light and shadow, and inherent momentum, it directs the viewer's gaze, determining the emotional tone of the image and the order of information transmission. During the blocking process, when arranging the trees and stones in the courtyard, I focused solely on making them appear closer to a real courtyard, without considering how the height differences between the trees would cause visual confusion. Simultaneously, skillfully arranging objects within the courtyard creates a sense of order and emphasis. Thus, I added a row of stones extending outward across the ground, functioning like arrows to draw the viewer's gaze from the foreground into the depth of space, ultimately anchoring it upon the main subject.

Lighting is far more than a simple tool in scene construction; it is a core means of shaping mood and guiding narrative. The quality, direction, and color of light directly influence the emotional tone of a scene. In my color studies, I experimented with numerous distinct effects. A blue key light combined with a hazy atmosphere can evoke a sense of mystery, the unknown, or even danger. Conversely, an orange light paired with a hint of airborne particles can create a warm, nostalgic feeling.
